Oscar De La Hoya

Oscar De la hoya was a beautiful boxer, as witnessed here boxing in the Olympics in 1992

 **
For me Oscar De La Hoya was symbol of the massive rise of Mexican’s and Mexican  American’s in the United States in number and power.
**
Oscar De La Hoya fought like an American boxer(which he was Oscar was born in USA) with a strategy of hit and not get hit, which was counter to a traditional stereo type of hit and be hit boxing tradition from Mexican born fighters.

**
Oscar is now retired, waiting induction into the hall of fame, and the massive wave of Mexican immigration into the US seems to have slowed for the last few years with the collapse of the economy and stricter border enforcement.

No Country for Old Men

Is one of my favorite movies of the last 3 or 4 years.  Even though I don’t understand the ending it makes the movie like a poem for me.  In the end Tommy Lee Jones goes back into the hotel room that Javier Bardem, is in and stares at some screws, next thing you know Tommy Lee Jones is talking to his woman as if he is retired about dreams he is having of his father.
**
At this point I am not sure if he is retired , or has been killed and this is some kind of heavenly dream state and yet I really don’t care cause it’s so beautiful.
**
Another seen in the movie that sticks in my head is the one where the pitbull is coming after Josh Brolin(Josh is a hell of an actor) as the pitbull charges Brolin , Brolin has to assemble an automatic pistol and put in the clip to kill the dog just in time.

That scene kind of reminds me of my life as I see danger approaching and am trying to get a certain type of job skill, one dealing with SQL before the danger arrives, the danger being some type of unknown in the economy.

As I try and sell my labor in the global market place for work.

Häagen-Dazs ice cream invented in Bronx/Brooklyn New York wow..

To think that Häagen-Dazs ice cream was invented in the Bronx New York and not in Sweeden or Denmark came as a mild surprise to me and made me laugh.

This still doesn’t change the fact that Häagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream is my favorite in the world , although I have to watch myself with it as to not gain too much weight.

It is an all time standard right up with their with Heineken beer and Marlboro red cigarettes in the crush proof box neither of which I have imbibed in quiet a few years.

No body can whip the USA.

Just to contradict my previous writing “I knew the USA would collapse”.
**
I am really just trying to figure things out myself so I am open to examining all theories, scenarios and hypothesis.
 **
One possible outcome for the near future.  Near future being defined as the next 5-10 years.
Is that no force external or internal force can weaken  the United States of America’s grip on the world and American prosperity.
**
The US is the heart of global corporate empire that is not going away anytime soon.
**
It could be the US doesn’t even need a “real” economy and that deficits really don’t matter as long as the US controls key technologies, social organizations and has the strongest military in the world .
**
As long as the US has the strongest military in the world and controls the price of oil(access to oil) deficits and everything else is irrelevant(or one could say manageable).
**
Maybe it is like a game that they can keep the domestic US population running around building the internet, working in restaurants, bio-tech , advertising etc, and this keeps the pawn base busy, tinkering on the empire’s objectives and keeps the pawn base in place as a lever for power in dealing with global adversaries. The US pawn base can be used  as a market which is valuable thing and as reserve to be soldiers or anything else is needed to meet what ever challenge may arise.

36,000 jobs created yikes!

Robert Reich said,

The U.S. economy added just 36,000 jobs in January, according to today’s report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Remember, 125,000 are needed just to keep up with the increase in population of Americans wanting and needing work. And 300,000 a month are needed continuously for five years if we’re to get back to anything like the employment we had before the Great Recession.”

Blog Jesse’s Café Américain said

“Now it is fairly well known that the unemployment rate is a less important metric, since people stop being counted as unemployed when no longer receiving unemployment benefits, or when they take a menial low paying job. And in a prolonged downturn you can therefore have improvements in the unemployment rate without any real improvement in overall unemployment like the labor participation rate and the median wage, which are the key indicators of a sustainable recovery.

Considering Donald Trump

Donald Trump considering running for president
**

Although I would need to hear a lot more of what he has to say and investigate what’s really going on, Donald Trump excited me with his plain talk of populism and creating and fighting for jobs in America.
**
Whether Mr Trump is just a con job or not we will see. But he is certainly on to something when he talks about defending American Jobs.
**
Right now the trade and monetary polices going in the US help everybody but the bulk of the American population.
**
The US is having a little bounce in the economy right now but the Federal Reserve and Treasury are printing a ton of dollars which is going to lead to inflation and diminished buying power in the end.
